Tournament Results for 2013!
The team of Jesse Butler, Bill Peet, Andy Solak, And Mark Walczak took 1st place in the Spring Scramble, the opening tourney of the 2013 season. Finishing 2nd was the team of Brett Garner, Larry Brown, Nancy Abbeg, and Gary Ballard.
The next Pine View Tournament is the Summer Match Play on May 19th. Participants must have a valid & current U.S.G.A. handicap to enter this event. If you have not signed up for your G.A.M. handicap, you can do so on the G.A.M. website ($39 www.gam.org) or through the Pine View proshop($25 for season & View Club members).
Memorial Day 3 Legged Race:
Congratulations to the team of Jim Akers and Ed Vasas as they fired a 58 to take the Memorial Day 3 Legged Race for 2013. Following closely was Steve and Terry Laws with their own stellar score of 59. Next in line was Andy Solak & Pete Lepere with a 62, Carlos Stafford & Ron Ballard 64, Dick & Angie Cook 66, and Bill & Sharon Peet with a 68. Sixteen t person teams particiapated in this fun, holiday event.
Beat the Pro:
Beat the Pro was held June 10th with 24 players participating in this
2-person Best Ball/Scramble format with the added incentive of beating the host professional and his partner. Team McCurley, riding a hole in one on #5 finished first with a 63 on the day. Tying them with their own 63 was the Team of Jim Sibert and Jeff Stockwell. However, a scorecard playoff sent them to the runner up position.

Triple Play Best Ball:
A new event was held July 15th with the format a 3 person team playing 1-2-3 Best Ball. At the end of the day, the team of Nancy Abbeg, Dawn Abbeg, and Cindy Hill, riding a hole total of 7 on the par 3 17th, finished first by a six stroke margin. As with this event, it was the Par 3's that determined the the winners and the also rans. 2nd place went to the team of Bill Aughton, Terry Laws, and Ken Morton with a 113. Three teams tied at 114 with the team of Ron Ballard, Gary Ballard, and Carlos Stafford winning the scorecard playoff.

Labor Day "Double Trouble" Scramble
With Harley Hodges Trophy points on the line, 6 four person teams battled to earn points and a spot on the coveted H.H. Trophy Team. In the end, several positions changed in the top 11 spots to make the team.
Leading the way with a 141 team score was Thomas Stockwell, Denis Tierney, Emmitt Sewell, and Michelle Ward. They were followed by the 142 score from Amy Skogstrom, Carlos Stafford, Sharon Peet, and Darrell Ward.

The top 11 points leaders for the H.H. Trophy Team will be finalized once the finals of the Summer Match Play has been played. Andy Solak will earn 5 points for a win over Dick Cook, who has already secured his spot on the team.
The dates for the H.H. Trophy have not been determined as of this posting, but will be updated here as soon as it is known.
